Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an exciting position in our sunny Orlando, Florida location. We are seeking an Lead Systems Engineer who will technically contribute to the Consolidated Product line Management – Next (CPM-Next) contract. You will be a part of the development of next generation military C2 training and testing environments using Modeling and Simulation.
In this role as Lead Systems Engineer, you will:
Perform and lead activities in Live/Virtual/Constructive (LVC) domain to include Interoperability requirements, designs and implementations, as required to support the LT2 and ILTE Product Lines
Plan the technical approach, resources, schedule, budget and equipment required for testing and evaluating new systems, products and special devices
Lead the test approach and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle
Generate system test work products (Test Plans, Procedures and results) by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools
Prepare test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products
Lead the development and coordinates functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
Lead the design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing
