Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology. Engineering Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher.

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineering Intern (Paid) to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern (Paid) you will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects within the Design and Engineering Services Unit. The Mechanical Engineering Intern (Paid) will support design changes and drawing metrics while gaining an understanding of the need for formal engineering documentation of the design, problem report development and change request generation. This opportunity will provide key insights regarding the capability to effectively develop and evolve GDMS technology, process and documentation.
