General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Systems Engineer to join our Digital Signal Processing Center of Excellence. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Senior DSP Systems Engineers analyze, design, develop and test DSP algorithms that are implemented in hardware and software for Space-based systems. Your duties would include:

The Senior DSP Systems Engineers position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a specialized area plus a minimum of 2 years of related DSP work experience; or a Master’s degree with DSP specialization.
Exceptional candidates have work experience or coursework knowledge of algorithm development for the statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements utilizing techniques from Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory. Candidates must also have knowledge of MATLAB for DSP using the related tool boxes. Background with Radar Processing, DSP for mitigating/processing RF effects, Monte Carlo analysis or Phased Array/Beam Forming is a plus.
